The Senator and I are celebrating our 16th wedding anniversary today, except we are not really celebrating…..together.  I mean, I happen to be in the Land of Lincoln at a board meeting….and he is not….in the Land of Lincoln.  Although, I am sure he wishes he could be.  I mean, the Presidential Library and Museum were incredible and right in line with his area of interests.

I’m sure I forgot to mention that one of his goals in life is to rent a “recreational vehicle” and drive to all of the Presidential Libraries….

Doesn’t that sound like fun?

I beat him to this one however, and without the RV.

I will say this about Springfield,  the Capitol has a really cool dome.

But, that is not what I want to think about on our 16th Wedding Anniversary.

I want to cherish all of the special memories we have had and celebrate the fun ones ahead….which may or may not include a cross country trek in a large, over-sized vehicle.
