Predestined

My friend Ree of Pioneer Woman fame dropped her girls off for a visit last weekend.  When I say dropped off, it was more like an actual exchange in the Love’s Travel Stop parking lot on I-35.  Location was of no importance, only that these four were getting to have some quality friend time together.

Ree and I used to do this all the time growing up….getting to spend weeks at a time together.  And, it warms my heart that our off-spring insist on doing the same.  Not a minute was wasted.  There were multiple art projects, swimming, movies, a trip to the local art museum, “chilling out” time, bowling, more swimming, staying up in the wee hours of the morning talking and playing poker… of course, I only found out about the midnight to 3:00 a.m. poker game way after the fact. Promise.

Their friendship was predestined…

And they wouldn’t have wanted it any other way!

I LOVE this post! I love when all the kids get together from my group of friends from school. Linda lives in Japan now, and only gets back to the States once every year or two. Last month she & her kids came for a visit, and we got together w/ another friend & her kids, and it was like the kids had been best friends for years, even though it was only the 2nd time they’d met! It warmed my heart to see them all playing together like we used to when we were younger. : )

I love your new header! And is that photo taken at the art museum? Because if not, I’m highly impressed with whatever that thing is in your home! Glad they got to spend a week together – nothing is better than time spent with old friends.
